Nuclear Fluidics

Accentus has been active in the development and supply of fluidic technology and equipment primarily for the nuclear industry since the 1970s. The primary focus of this work was to provide fluid control systems that required no moving parts or seals, such that they would not erode or need replacing. The systems are now in widespread use within the nuclear industry for pumping, mixing, metering and valving applications.

Non-Nuclear Fluidics

A number of alternative applications for the technology were explored as a result of this early work, and it was at this stage that the potential of the Vortex Choke Valve for non-nuclear applications was first identified. Accentus is now formulating a further focused programme of development to provide a proven valve design specifically for use in non-nuclear applications.
